A framework that allows for the use of standard web technologies for developing cross-platform applications, avoiding each mobile platform’s native development language. Cordova embeds one’s application inside of a native container, which can access the functions of several platforms. The functions are exposed via a unified JavaScript API, allowing developers to write one set of code that can be used by nearly every smartphone and tablet.
